The SCSA is a non-profit community group which was developed to focus on the needs of Sault Ste. Marie and Algoma area skateboarders.
Lumeo was tasked with creating a new communications framework and visual identity system that would unify the brand, and demonstrate SCSA’s renewed commitment to building a strong and vibrant community for its members.
After meeting with key stakeholders representing public and private interests, our team developed an outreach strategy to maximize community engagement and exposure. We shaped communications to identify and connect with audiences during and after the launch of the campaign. A campaign focused on the idea of making the sport more approachable to the community at large.
This was accomplished by using benevolent graphics built around simple geometric patterns, overlaid with clean typography while a restrained color palate guided viewer interaction. Bringing the systems to life, the Lumeo team created and produced various collateral including digital and social media promos, packaging, corporate communications materials and stationery.
A final “call to action” was needed to convert the publics interest into direct community participation. The team built an online platform that not only informed the public at large but, also engaged skateboard enthusiasts with relevant content and messaging. The website was yet another opportunity to demonstrate value to potential partners as it aligned sponsor’s interests while maximizing exposure.
